How you could you not love a good tailgate party? There is nothing better for getting someone excited about a good football game and flying their team colors. Last Friday night we had our second "tailgate party" at Whitewater High School. We have tried to not only get people excited about their football team but to also get our youth excited about WBC and the youth ministry. To accomplish this we have turned Tailgating into more than just a party...now it is also a service opportunity. Along with supporting our football team we are trying to serve our community by sharing free hot dogs and bottled water with anyone that wants to join in the fun and felloowship with us. What a great opportunity it has provided to not only meet some of the students but also others in our community. I have really enjoyed talking and joking with some of Whitewaters 9th grade football players. Last week I got some time to talk with Alex and Dustin. In two tailgate parties we have given away over 250 hotdogs and over 650 bottles of water. We had a great turnout of our youth to participate in both of these events. I certainly have to thank everyone that helped pull this off. If you did not get a chance to come to either of the first two parties then there will be two more next month. Oct. 19th we will be back at Whitewater for the Starr's Mill game and then we will be at Starr's Mill on Oct 26th. Don't miss out on the fun and fellowship or the chance to support your team and serve your community!
