The Big 32!? UGH!

This first day of blogging for me just happens to also be on my Birthday! It's weird that Birthdays just aren't quite as exciting as they once were. However, I must say that this one has certainly topped the last couple even thoguht there was nothing too overly exciting happening. My last two birthdays were celebrated out of the country with no friends or family around. I should not say that, I had many of my Ukrainian friends around but it was still not quite the same. Last night was really nice for me as the guys and girls in our youth group all surprised me with some balloons, a cake, a great card, and a nice gift. I also got to have a great Birthday dinner a few nights ago with my folks, my brothers family, and my grandmother. Me, my dad, and my grandmother all have birthdays this week so it was nice to be with them. And as always my wife had a special card and letter for me. That is always a treat.
After thirty two years now I have learned to always be thankful to God for bringing me through another year. I guess the best part of birthdays (no matter how old you get) is just being reminded of all that we have to be thankful for, and this year I am especially reminded of the fact that I have an amazing wife, wonderful kids, a great family, awesome friends, a great church, and a perfect Savior in Christ Jesus. It truly is a Happy B-Day!
