Prince Caspian

I am definetly becoming a "Narnia Junkie". This past Friday night we had a group of about 38 people go to see the opening night of Prince Caspian the second movie in C.S. Lewis's Narnia series. The movie was awesome. I thought it was quite different from the first one. It was much more battle ridden. As before there were some great effects and costumes displayed. But the best part of the whole movie and the entire series is the underlying spiritual themes that are dealt with. Themes like Peter's crisis of faith, the effects of sin, the effects of racism, the power of Christ. These are just a few of the thoughts that Lewis weave's into this series. I was excited to see that the movie was by far the top box office hit of the opening weekend with 55 million in sales (the next closest was 31 million). That is a pretty good start! If you have not seen it yet...GO! It is absolutely worth it. Here is a link to the trailer and Switchfoot's theme song.

Hey..popped over to the Woosley site on a whim. I started reading Hope the narnia series awhile back. We started with the Lion Witch Wardrobe and she was hooked. I probably won't take her to the new movie especially if its "battle ridden" but there are some great old BBC versions that are child friendly. We are going to go back and start with book one and read through the set. I think Brynn and Landon would love it.
Take Care,
Sheryl
