Is Voting Really Important?

Today is "Super Tuesday" here in Georgia. Voting booths opened bright and early this morning at 7am. I always find it rather exciting to walk up to a polling site anticipating having my vote registered. This morning was especially exciting to think about the fact that I had the opportunity to put in my "two cents" regarding what is probably the most powerful political position in the world. Thats a pretty incredible priviledge if you really think about it. It should be viewed as a pretty significant responsibility for every citizen of this country. Unfortunately too many of us blow off this responsibility by saying things like "they are all a bunch of liars and cheats anyway" or "what difference can my one vote make" or even "I hate all that political stuff anyway". But these are really all a bunch of excuses. I would encourage you to take a little time to find some info on these candidates (even if you are not of voting age) and pray about who God wants serving our country.
