Well, this past Sunday evening we held an evening service for the whole congregation back in that old building to sort of show off all the changes and improvements that have been made. I totally felt like I was back in church as a kid. We had a great crowd of over 150 people there. Our worship team (with the help of a few of our youth) did a great job of leading an awesome worship time that truly brought us before our Lord! We got to hear some great stories of "days gone by" as well as what is going on today within our youth ministry. Some of our youth performed a skit that was was very challenging. The temperature was a bit warm but that did nothing to damper the excitement and joy of our youth and the entire congregation. I pray that, like a snowball, that excitement continues to gain momentum and that tiny little old church explodes into a beacon of light throughout our whole community!

12 Years Later...The Annex Lives Again!!!!
How many of us would love to have the opportunity to go back in time about 15 years into the past for a couple of hours. Most of us (at least those over the age of about 25) would love to have an opportunity like that. Well this past Sunday evening I had that opportunity...sort of. I have been a member of Woolsey Baptist Church for 20 years or so now. Things have certainly changed over that time. One of the most notable changes is the fact that we no longer meet in the same church building that we met in when I was a kid. About 12 years ago we moved into a new building that is still used today. When I actually started serving full time at the church a little over a year ago, the old building that we met in when I was a kid was in pretty rough shape. Only a part of the building was being used at that time and for only a couple of hours a week. Over the last year the youth ministry has made that our primary meeting place for Wednesday and Sunday meetings. Through that time we have tried to do all that we can to improve the place and give it a face lift and boy has it gone through some changes!
